ULIS PRO: LOCALIZED UNIT FOR SCHOOL INCLUSION

Museum Overview

Created at the start of the 2013 school year at the PA Chabanne high school, the ULIS Pro program is aimed at students with disabilities who have a notification from the Departmental House of Disabled Persons (MDPH).

The pupil is registered in a reference class. He is therefore completely included in his class.

A Personalized Schooling Project ( PPS ) is established for each student. This project aims at educational, professional, and therapeutic objectives in order to meet the specific needs of each young person.

During his training cycle, the student undertakes the same Work Placement Periods as all the other students in the class.

The ULIS pro coordinator as well as the entire educational team can support the young person and the family on their professional integration.

The young person can apply if he wishes for the RQTH (Recognition as a Disabled Worker) from the age of 16.

Objectives

 – provide young people with disabilities with an individualized educational pathway without breaking
– prepare young people for access qualifying training or prepare a certificate of competence in the training followed

– develop their personal and social autonomy
– propose a suitable schedule

– promote solidarity between all the students of the establishment

Educational team

The coordinator of the ULIS at the high school, Mr. Eric Merceron , is a specialist teacher. He is in charge of providing educational support to the students of the ULIS. The collective Accompanying Person for Students with Disabilities (AESH), Mr. Julien Faber , provides individualized support according to the specific needs of each young person and accompanies the young people in class.

The ULIS system involves all professionals in the institution.
