On October 13, 2020, we visited the NIDEC Leroy Somer company, in the company of Mrs. Xerri (eco-management teacher) and Mr. Goumon (electricity teacher)... This educational outing aimed to make the link with our eco-management courses on the different departments of a company and to discover trades related to our professional training!
We were welcomed by Ms. Desforges, the human resources director, and Mr. Groux, the site's environment and safety manager.
In a meeting room, the HR department gave us a presentation of the company: its history, its organization chart, the different sites and their services/functions; as well as future projects….
| Then Frédéric Groux took us on a tour of the NIDEC Leroy Somer site at Gond Pontouvre, service by service; starting with the raw material to arrive at a finished product: the engine! 1. Cutting / plumbing 2. Foundry workshop: transformation of aluminum in ovens at 750° 3. Winding 4. Assembly of motors according to customer specifications 5. Engine painting 6. Packaging, then logistics (the dock with the forklift drivers…) for shipping the finished products! |
