Opening up to the world: Discover the English Euro Section at Lycée Chabanne:
Established in 2025 at the Pierre-André Chabanne Vocational High School, the European English section offers a fantastic opportunity for our students to open up to the international scene.
What is a European section?
It is a language reinforcement program aimed at motivated and willing students wishing to develop their foreign language skills while enriching their knowledge of foreign cultures.
Who is the target audience?
It concerns students from the second year of vocational studies to the final year of vocational studies in the BAC PRO ECP (Aesthetics, Cosmetics, Perfumery).
How are the classes structured?
Students benefit from 1 hour in second year, 2 hours in first year and 2 hours in final year.
The great strength of this program lies in its co-teaching: the courses are jointly taught by English and Aesthetics teachers. This ensures that English instruction is always practical and relevant to the field of study and professional practice.
The major project: The Training Period Abroad (and Erasmus+ support):
A key feature of the European section is that, in their final year, students have the opportunity to complete their final work placement (PFMP - Période de Formation en Milieu Professionnel) in an English-speaking country. Thanks to the ERASMUS program, these European mobility experiences are facilitated and supported. For example, this year, our final-year students spent three weeks on a professional immersion program at a spa in Malta.
Under certain conditions, the student can benefit from the indication "European section: English" on the vocational baccalaureate diploma.
This recognition is a major asset that is highly sought after in the world of work and that the student can therefore highlight during their professional integration.
